Scottish Community Drama Association

SCDA was established in 1926 to support amateur theatre groups in their creative endeavours.

They run an annual one act play festival across Scotland with the winner representing Scotland in the National final. Services available to member groups range from help during set up, health & safety advice, up to date regulatory information and artistic support through professionally led training. We also offer a discounted script ordering service and support amateur playwrights.

Most importantly SCDA provides a network for amateur theatre groups across Scotland to share practice and exchange knowledge as well as being the voice for the Scotland’s amateur theatre sector locally and Internationally.
