Our mission is to make exceptional, audacious, collaborative theatre that represents the complexity of modern Scotland, and to take that theatre to our communities and to the world.

Creative Engagement is a vital part of our programme. We believe in engaging communities around issues that re relevant to their lives and co-creating work with them, in collaboration with leading artists.

We want to offer inspiration and insight to school students through our Educational Resources, Creative Careers programme and special performance projects created with and for schools.

Our Education Portal is for teachers and educators to access filmed versions of select National Theatre of Scotland productions.

With Theatre in Schools Scotland we aim to bring the magic of live performance into Scotland’s primary schools.
